Refreshments..

We offer the usual refreshments expected of a cafe in a park - and more!  We are delighted to use local and organic supplies from Bath , Bristol and rural Somerset, also sourcing high quality and tempting products from neighbouring counties of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

Cold drinks include still or sparkling spring water, organic pure fruit juices, fruit presses, cans, frappes (milkshakes made with ice cream).

Delicious freshly ground coffee is expertly made into delicious cups of cappuccino, latte, espresso, mocha etc or plainly filtered and many teas are available, from our selected blend of afternoon tea to more specialist types such as Fruit Infusions, Rooibus or Lapsang Souchong.

Milk for tea and coffee is always semi-skimmed and we can also provide unsweetened soya.

Our larger traditional and truly scrumptious cakes are especially made for us by a Dorset family business and a range of Biscuits, Flapjacks, Brownies and other cakes are bought in from local suppliers or made on the premises by us. We try to have at least one ‘gluten free’ sweet treat.

Our world famous Cream Teas are very popular indeed and we bake one or more batches of scones each day…To sit down on a lovely sunny day, admiring the fantastic view whilst sampling a plate of two freshly baked scones, west country clotted cream and strawberry jam accompanied by a pot of afternoon tea, is certainly one of life’s good things to do!

Our Ice Cream and Ice Lollies are supplied from two local and award winning family businesses.

Each day we prepare an interesting and varied selection of vegetarian filled sandwiches, savoury scones and bagels. We are a meat free Cafe, although we do use fish such as tuna or smoked salmon from time to time.  The delicious (like a creamy cheddar) locally made ‘Wife of Bath’ cheese is a popular choice for sandwiches. and can also be served with gluten free biscuits for cheese.  A Vegan, Gluten & Dairy Free ‘Dipping Platter’ is always a popular choice in the summer months.
