On this page from time to time we will be adding addresses of trusted web links to sites which give details such as our favourite places to visit. Everything that will appear on this page is of course thoroughly and highly recommended.

1. West of England Falconry, Newton St Loe, Bath.

Being great observers of the Peregrine Falcons who nest on nearby St John’s Church and fly noisily in the skies above Parade Gardens each Spring and Summer, we decided recently to go on a Guided Hawk Walk at the West of England Falconry. What a great honour it was to experience flying one of the magnificent Birds of Prey in beautiful countryside just 3.5 miles from Bath city centre. We were complete novices to the art of Falconry, but after guidance from the knowledgeable Falconer, were soon having a wonderful time flying Charlie the Harris Hawk.  We look forward to going on another Hawk Walk soon and can highly recommend this fantastic experience to all. Lots of information on their website www.westofenglandfalconry.org.uk

2. The Jubilee Maze, Symond's Yat
For a great family day out a little further away (about 1.5 hour's drive) why not try visiting the Jubilee Maze and various attractions for all the family at Jubilee Park, Symond's Yat West, near Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire.   Symond's Yat is an area of outstanding natural beauty situated near to the banks of the River Wye and at the Jubilee Park you will find a wonderful hedge Maze to explore, a Maze Museum, a superb Butterfly Zoo with many exotic species to see flying freely through the glass house and a fun Miniature Golf Course.  Shop, Cafe and attractive gardens... for opening times etc. please go to www.mazes.co.uk
